Heavy fire-fighting vehicle built by Scania P380 Car Specialist Engineering company Wawrzaszek from Bielsko-Biala. It is a vehicle equipped with a water tank with a capacity of five thousand liters and pumps with a capacity of 3, 2 per thousand liters per minute at a pressure of 8 bar. In addition to the necessary fittings water - foam vehicle was also in line with a rapid attack, saw the steel and concrete, to saw wood, oddymiający fan, electrical power, heavy set of Holmatro hydraulic power, a set of sorption Niagara floating pump, ladder, respiratory protection apparatus and other diseases.

Chassis: Scania P380, 4x4
Bodywork: ISS Wawrzaszek (ISS, Inżynieria Samochodów Specjalnych, Specialist Vehicles Engineering)
Water tank: 5000 l.
Foam (concentrate) tank: 500 l.
Pump: Ruberg, 3200 lpm @ 8 bar
Equipment carried includes: a chainsaw, a concrete saw, a positive pressure fan, 'accident' signs, traffic cones, barrier tapes etc., hoses, branches, foam equipment, a hosereel, a 'heavy' set of Holmatro hydraulic cutting equipment, a power generator, oil-absorbing powder, a Niagra floating pump, D10W (10m) ladder, BA sets and...
...and don't be scared, Polish firefighters usually keep their appliances spotless, so one should not lose any sleep over the prospect of catching a disease of any kind while riding this or any other wonderful red machine in Poland ;) Boy, isn't bad English fun? Some bits I get, they are simply literal translations of certain phrases/technical terms, but I can't see the point of using the word 'diseases'. It makes no sense at all. It took a considerable amount of some time to filter out all this information - it was a true challange!

Not trying to be to critical,but I do think we should be very grateful in what we are receiving from our friends in Poland on the site,and other places which many of us know very little about.

I do agree that the more pictures from Poland and other places, the better, but there are certainly better ways of getting a description in English than using Google Translator... This one leaves the reader where he started (knowing very little).

Looking at the specifications above, could it be a Polish equivilent to an Emergency or Rescue Tender? Can't see a ladder of any type,is there one? The Polish Bus drivers where I work showed me a phonetic Polish - English guide, now that was interesting!

The ladder is on the other side of the roof, it is a 10-m aluminium D10W ladder: www.wazniak.inf.sgsp.edu.pl/wiki/index.php?title=Drabina_D10W&redirect=no (unlike the one shown in the link, it is painted black).
The vehicle above has no equivalent in the UK. Its clostest relative in Western Europe would be the German TLF 24/50. A modern 'GCBA' ('heavy [combined] pump/tanker') of the 2-axle-class like the one above usually comes with a long cab for 6 firefighters, carries 4-5 thousand liters of water and 400-500 liters of foam concentrate. Many of these are pure firefighting machines, yet there is a trend towards making them as universal as possible, thus the additional rescue equipment, typical for a 'first away' pump.
