Thankyou Bob, thats a very rare appliance, most Pyrene fits were onto Bedford RLs for the civilian market as I remember.

Has this appliance gone into preservation my friend owns a ex Flight Re Fueling Appliance which is a ex Dorset Bedford Tk AFX 594T.

Guys,
Flight Refuelling Ltd left Tarrant Rushton in the 1970's and the airfield closed in September 1980.
Therefore this image was take almost 40 years ago.

Apart from some AFS 4X4 specials, this was not a chassis which saw much service as a fire appliance - unlike its forward control stablemate, which was very popular in virtually every fire service role.
