Heidelberg has two full time and eight volunteer fire stations. Each full time station had one of these HLF 30/20 among its fleet of appliances, with a third in reserve.

The volunteers have smaller 10/6 rescue pumpers, and have had very good experience with them. As a result, the full time service is also switching to these - as the Axor 30/20 pumpers have proven to be too large and over-specified for their daily tasks.

A less publicized reason may also be that the 10/6 are a lot less expensive...
