Hi Barry, not to worry, no double deck buses to be found in Kyrgyzstan, haha. This particular piece was already out of service for 5 years!!!! Still waiting for spare parts.
Hey, J-T, is Kyrgyzstan a poor place or does the fire brigade just not get enough funding? Because for a ladder truck to be out of service for 5 years simply because of a lack of acceptable spare parts is utterly shameful and there can be no excuse for it short of insufficient funding. With thanks, from Tiger.
Hey Jan-Toine have you noticed before that this ladder truck has no lights or sirens on it? Would you happen to know why that might be so? Just seems a bit to me, a fire truck having no lights or sirens. Cheers, Tiger.
Jan, I've noticed that all of your pictures from Kyrgyzstan and the capital Bishkek are from Russian builders. Is a lot of the equipment ex-Soviet? I would be grateful for any information. Thanks Tiger
Kyrgyzstan is a former USSR state and was controlled by Russia. They are a very poor country and having travelled to some states that gained independence from Russia it does not surprise me they are short of fund. I think approximately 1/3 of the population live in poverty.

Thanks for that, Andy. I read that Kyrgyzstan is the least developed country in Central Asia.
