Dennis 'N' Type FA1075 pumping hard

All Dennis 'N' Types built up to 1922 were fitted with Gwynne turbine pump. It was capable of 900 gallons per minute depending on how hard you wanted to run the White and Poppe engine.

About 1920 West Ham changed from Gwynne to Tamini pumps at request of then Superintendent Henry Johnson as he thought they were superior. I have the discussion in the council minutes.
