City of Chattanooga Fire-Rescue in action
3-9-09: Now for some hot shots. I can't resist the call of a Federal Q2b Siren, I especially can't resist the sound of 5 Federal Q2b sirens when they are just down the street from out locomotive shop where I part-time. I booked out of the shop and found this stubborn fire being fought by the City of Chattanooga Fire-Rescue. It was stubborn because the house had several additions built on to it and each addition seemed to have it's own share of fire spread problems. It was extinguished and not considered a total loss although heavy damage did occur to about half of the structure. Here is the Battalion Chief, the P.I.O and a Police Officer watching the crews battle the blaze.
