With the guards, raised exhaust and air intake; it looks much like the USA FDs' Brush Truck, used for Wildland Fires, etc - off-road capability and able to charge through the wild growth....

Surrey purchased 4 of these, so they could be replacing (or supplementing) the existing fleet of Land Rover 4x4 appliances rather than tankers, but it could be possible that they're replacing both. The Unimog machines have fording capability thanks to a specially developed sealing system.

These are known in Surrey as Unicorn's. This is because we are still awaiting the arrival of them. The company doing the bodywork went bust and so did the company who bought that company. They where registered to Surrey so do belong to surrey not the receivers. They will be almost two years old before they are first used.
They are replacing the Mercedes water carriers.
I believe one will have a HIAB crane fitted.

At the Odiham Fire Show 1 & 2 August a surrey fire representative stated one of these will be at Farnhan one at Camberley and one at Woking configured as a rescue vehicle.
