This fine old TL is now in the Essex Fire Museum, which is situated at Grays Fire Station in Essex. It is still in pristine condition and frequently turns out to events. You can see it on June 6th, along with several other visiting vintage fire appliances when Grays Fire Station holds its Annual Open Day.

Essex ran three of these, which - along with their two Leyland Firemaster PEST appliances - were the only diesels on their fleet at the time.

The rest of the fleet in the 1960s were all petrol engined, dominated by Dennises with Rolls Royce power units and a few older Dodge appliances.
