Huntingdon & Peterborough - WrT - GFL 990D

Following recent enquiries about this one, here's a shot I took of it a few years ago at Teessside Rally. As will be seen, it carries the livery of Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade, which exists to this day - nowadays affiliated to Cambridgeshire and even with a Cambridgeshire station code - though Huntingdon & Peterborough was the customer for GFL 990D originally.

This was GFL 990D's 1st outing having been resprayed from yellow when it was stationed at at Duxford Air field. It took some 5 hours to drive from my home address to Yarm, and a considerable amount of fuel. She won best preserved Bedford.

Appliance was given to the vols from new in 1966. it had to have the bell modified in to the roof in order to fit in the PVFB Station in kings street, Peterborough. Ramsey was its last station before being donated to duxford airfield. Looking good Tim! a fine vehicle.
