brandweer Huizen Latil oldtimer

This 1926 Latil pumper with van der Ploeg bodywork is preserved by the fire brigade of Huizen in the Netherlands. It came in service in 1932 by this fire brigade and was in service until 1950. Al those years it was kept in the hands of this fire brigade. It is the only one left built on a Latil chassis in the Netherlands.

i'd like to add my thanks to Louis for this great selection of classic and Oldtimer fire trucks still preserved in the Netherlands, some of which undoubtedly turn out regularly during the summer months for parades and firemens' musters. Is there a country anywhere whose fire departments haven't preserved classic and oldtimer fire equipment? Thanks again, Louis, and to all those who paticipate in their preservation and to those who share photos of these valuable historic pieces of equipment .

A wonderful old timer! I especially like the creative solution for keeping the branch pipes at the ready. Never seen anything like this anywhere else.
