As time passes us by, I hardly think ex CFB machines from this era would have survived, then again you never know what is hiding in a bush somewhere!! Surely people must know the whereabouts of a few machines that have gone missing!
Adam you are perfectly correct in saying 'you never know whats hiding in a bush' One of the great suprises to me was the discovery (on this site) of one of the Teesside AECs (AXG2K)which I certainly didnt know about. It is pictured in a Bus Museum in Devon, and can be found under the AEC catergory on this site. Unbelievably it survived till 2004 albeit as a cut down Tow Wagon. My records had previously shown this machine as being disposed of and broken up by North East Bus Breakers of Annfield Plain in County Durham sometime after 1987. To make matters worse, I once went there (to see the buses) and couldnt find it so I went home, only to discover later that I had been less than quater of a mile away from where I'd turned around! Such is life.
