Dennis F28 Water tender 19FYD Stepton Mallet FS
This photo shows a Dennis F28 Water tender registration 19FYD turning out on a shout sometime in the 1960's from Station B8 Shepton Mallet where it was stationed This appliance was new to the Station when it was opened in 1960 and remained there until 1974 when it was one of the appliances that was given to the newly formed County of Avon Fire Brigade by Somerset. This was because a number of former Somerset Fire Brigade Stations were incorporated into the new County of Avon. Whilst in Avon it was stationed at Nailsea and its still in existence today although in a poor state requiring quite a lot of restoration.

I last knew of it about four years ago when it was under a sheet at an address in Somerset. I don't know if it is still there or not but I probably have the chaps contact details somewhere. if its still there its probably restorable. I see your screen name is Avon got any links to this machine or Nailsea where it was stationed in Avon days.
