Dennis Apprentice Association - Where are they now
This is another photograph of the 1914 City of Coventry Dennis 'N' Type soon after it returned back to the factory in Guildford in the 1960's. Sitting on board we have only one 'true' apprentice from the shop floor. Can anyone looking at this site, remember these days? Is it you?

Back in the nineties, myself and a gang of helpers looked after and housed Du179 under the instruction of a Mr Nick Grenside He was an apprentice with Dennis and I think he is sitting in the middle.
Dennis must of thought so highly of him that he looked after it and refurbished it for over ten years. Where it is now I don't know but Nick died at least ten years ago. A very competent and dedicated engineer and Du179 owes it's condition to him. He had completely repainted for its centenary in 2014
