How many of these scanias are left in the fleet

Added by Steve Bonner on 19 February 2009.
Hi Steve as far as i know, the following older scania appliances are still on our books.M902-913DDS, N822-836JSU, P931-943SGE.K371 MYS is at BTC, K372 MYS is retained at Newmilns, K373 MYS retained at Troon, J162 GUS is stored at workshops and J163 GUS is on loan.I make that 42 old type scannies, although a few of the M plates are used as fire reach appliances for cadets and M904 DDS is now a fire safety vehicle.I have posted prits of this vehicle on site, but for some reason it keeps being rejected.

Hi steve, i forgot about the following; l713uga fire reach at kilmarnock, l715uga at btc, l716uga stored at workshops and l725/727uga as workshops spares, bringing strathclydes old type scanny total to 47 still on books.

Hi does anyone know where i could get the old strathclyde sign the wooden one that went above the lockers.
I need it for my 1989 ex largs scania.

Added by Michael Jones on 21 February 2009.
Hi steve this the dumbartonshire van, I have a ford transit but I'm waiting on one of the above, but nobody likes them.i sometimes use a ranger, or an old road rescue unit, we basically can use anything.

Added by TOMMY SWINDLE on 21 February 2009.
Steve do you work for SFR at M01?

Added by TOMMY SWINDLE on 22 February 2009.
No im just into the appliances and M01 is my local station.

Added by Steve Bonner on 22 February 2009.
Tommy, do you drive one of these: Y631BGA, SB51XLA, SB51XLC, SB51XKY, SB51XKZ, SF53LZK, SF53LZL, SF54KGG or SF54KGJ? I'm guessing SB51XKZ.

Added by Jake Reever on 22 February 2009.
Sb51 xkz when its running, it been giving me problems lately, but then its on the road with me from 8am till 9pm 7 days a week and i, m covering 1000 miles a week with it, so its being thrashed. It has done 196000 miles, so it is well overdue for replacement.it has served me well, I dont think the vivaro will last half as long as the transit has, but time will tell.

Added by TOMMY SWINDLE on 22 February 2009.
Can't beat a well built Transit, the van of vans.

Added by Jake Reever on 23 February 2009.
Tommy do you have a picture of the Battenberg old scanny

Added by Steve Bonner on 23 February 2009.
Steve i do, i have tried four times to put on to site, but it keeps being rejected, i will try again in a minute.Hi Jake, unfortunately you can get two vivaros for the price of a transit, so sfr are taking the cheeper option.
