I also have picts of this station. These vehicles as well as the other 63 just out of the picture (as Peter will verify) are broken. When I visited this station as well as 12 others with my very patient wife (who is Thai) I found more broken vehicles that working. I will try to show the picture with all the broken vehicles which is in the ally just to the right of this picture. Sad to say but that country wastes so much money on bad equipment from other countries just so the politicians get their kick back. Still nice pictures though.

All three are broke along with a new red Merc that is not in the picture. That would make 4 brontos broke. That is a lot of money.

Yep. Agree with you Todd. Few years back there are report involving the Bangkok Fire Rescue about the Steyr fire appliances scandal.

Bomba you are 100% correct. The former Prime Minister's wife (not sure why she would or should have any say in the fire service) signed and agreement (along with the former mayor of Bankok) to buy 315 Metz fire engines and and average price of $612, 000.00 each. Although they have already paid 2/3 of this bill they are now trying to get out of this deal. Not sure why they haven't tried to go after the Metz company or its salesman for robbing and over charging them so badly. Either way great pictures Bomba. Lastly, I am going to visit Singapore in Aug. 09 is there a fire apparatus manufacturer there? Anyone know? Thanks

In relation to Singapore (SCDF), the fleet are various from Dennis, Volvo and recently Scania's. While the bodywork builder consist of SK Fire and Fabristeel of Singapore. I also know half about SCDF while for more info just ask Frank Van Der Weerden.

Todd,

I guess the brown envelope wasn't as big as the former PM's wife expected
