I do like this winter scene(and Mowag rescue photo)from Switzerland
and do hope we'll see some more winter pictures in the near future.

Winter in Switzerland can really be very scenic, but of course it also poses additional challenges for the fire service.

No surprise then that they like 4X4 vehicles - and even so, getting to many incidents can be very difficult! This is an American built General Motors van, converted to 4X4 by the Swiss Mowag engineering firm, who also do a lot of similar modifications to other brands including at one time quite a few American Dodges.

This type of GM (and Dodge) vans were once very popular in Belgium too as rapid road rescue rigs, but were not converted to 4X4.
