The 'Modern' is a 1909 Dennis 'N' Type and the ancient is a pre-1700 manual pump. This is page from an early Dennis fire engine brochure. Birmingham Fire Brigade was always a strong supporter of Dennis appliances which might reflect in West Midlands current fleet.
