This is in my view an excellent custom truck design. A large cab for five, plenty of locker space and a 40 meter tower, all squeezed on to a short wheelbase chassis, with a steered third trailing axle for amazing maneuverability.
The Tokyo 30 meter Morita-Hino uses the same components on a conventional two axle chassis.
Although TFD operate fire and rescue units which are mainly based on standard truck chassis-cabs, when they do go for custom builds they are often very well done, like these ladders.
