Its quite a sad picture of this appliance compared to its 'golden age' where it is painted bright red and some of this appliance is installed with Merryweather bell at the grille section.

Is it still there? & Is it for sale? Anybody know?

Those 101's are pretty desirable in the Land Rover Club world, and there are parts suppliers for them.

Hope the owner is not hanging on to it; and will let it go to a L-R restorer.

Regards,

This is not a 101, but a Land Rover Series 2B FC.
There are LR enthusiasts who like and run these vehicles, but I believe parts aren't quite as readily available as for a 101.

Its sad to see it in this state, I spent 4 years driving one and the term bum ache springs to mind!

Can we please have an update on this old girl.

Hi
The last I had heard was the yard had been cleared and the land rover scrapped.

Added by Archie McKinnon on 07 May 2012.
Yeah the last time I was up there the yard was cleared, there was also another Land Rover up there as well. I think from the SGD distillery at Haymarket.

Thank you Archie and Ricky for that info. I was never going to be in a position to 'rescue' Q92 FLE but it would have been nice if she had been offered to the Land Rover enthusiasts as a restoration project. She would have looked really good restored.

Hi Guys, yes our yard has been cleared but the good news is both the Land Rover fire engines have survived. They are no longer at the garage but are kept at their owners house nearby.
