1978 Dennis R130/Dennis Water Tender Ladder
Photographed on Saturday,4th October,2008 at the Burgess Hill 999 Day which incorparated all emergency services was this
1978 Dennis R130/Dennis Water Tender Ladder. It was one of 15 purchased between 1977 and 1979 by the West Sussex
Fire Brigade and is now preserved by the Burgess Hill Presevation Croup. The appliance(reg OTR 214S)was stationed from
new in 1978 at Horsham fire station and then went to the station at Midhurst before becoming'A Div' spare.
Although Burgess Hill Fire Station have an Open Day each year, the station is very lucky in having the Police Station and
Ambulance Station next to each other right next door to the fire station-ideal for a joint 'Emergency 999 Show'.
