Is it my eyes or are GMCFS going back towards that orange/ red day glow paintwork they used in the 80's? I always liked that, quite striking.

Well, I see Greater Manchester Fire Applianes quite a lot, I pay particular attention to the new(ish) ones and nothing has ever struck me as being unusual about the colour - just looks like normal plain red to me.
Last time I saw a GM appliance in fluorescent red was a reserve Dodge HP in the yard at Bolton - certainly seemed to stand out better than the other appliances in the yard on what was a dull day.
Bring it back!, but who's going to pay for it? :-)

Dave, Charlie. Even the newest GMFRS appliances are in bog standard boring red! At least the new one's look a bit better now though so maybe Manchester no longer have the worst looking Volvo's ever!
