Fire Engines Photos

This is either VRU 781J or OEL 718M, both of which were the only Dennis F108 pump escapes bought by the Bournemouth Fire Brigade prior to its amalgamation with Dorset Fire Brigade in 1974. They were converted to WrT or WrL by Dorset FB and served at Christchurch (B26). This shot looks like it was taken at the Hurn Air Show, which was an annual event taking place at Hurn Airport near Bournemouth and Christchurch. The Land Rover is possibly MFX 342P an L4T also based at Christchurch.

Thanks David. While you were there did you get any pictures of the crash tenders operated either by the airport or by BAC(Hurn)?

I've just added one that I took there in the early 1980s. It's a Bedford/HCB Angus CrT from BAC(Hurn)
