By my reckoning M51 BEY was by Saxon, it was M51 ACC that was by Angloco.

Quite correct Ian, still not Carmichael though by my reckoning !Does anyone know how it ended up with the front panel? Also any Clwyd Dennis WrL still in existence.

as far as i know there's one Dennis alive i think its in anglesey somewhere privately owned ill find out more
Gary, what happend was, M51BEY was involved in a RTA before the switch over from Clwyd to North Wales, it went away to be repaired, and it got Modified at some point by Carmichael, but yes the original bodywork is by Angloco. This machine was new to Colwyn Bay in 1994, and transferred to St.Asaph in 1996. Also, as far as Im aware, not many of the former Clwyd Dennis Appliances exist, two of the RS` got disposed of in 1994 and have never been seen since. Although one R Series was in Preservation up until a few years ago, it was RJC916T which was allocated to Abergele, and eventually it ended up in Bosnia. The Flint Dennis Simonitor, SDM391M still exists and is in Crosby Fire Station`s yard forming part of the Merseyside Fire Service Museum.
I did my first turnout driving on RJC916T when it was running as a East Division spare many years ago.I know A758LJC Ex Deeside was in Chile at one time, when googled it showed that they had bought new tyres for her!NEY286R was in someones yard near Denbigh in 2000 but went supposedly for preservation in Prestatyn according to previous owner.Hope you find one Jake, fingers crossed.
Mike,I have been on DVLA website and apart from Deeside's RS A258LJC only RJC917T (Ex Wrexham) and HP KDM860K are shown as exported. 2 Dennis WrL still exist that I did not know about,I am trying to locate both, one being sold on June 2009
