Looks to me a little bit difficult for the crew to mount on this truck???

I have a feeling below the rear door, steps fold out to allow access when the door is opened. Im sure Rosenbauer would have thought of everything, they seem like clued-up chassis builders. Nice to see another one of their chassis in use, I wonder why they aren't more popular with brigades here.
David, you are correct, however having driven and ridden this machine the only problem we had was in tight lanes whereas the step drops when the door was opened allowing access for the crew cab and lockers, otherwise an excellent appliance, it is now stationed at talgarth fire station .
Very European looking! Overall locker height looks tall, espaecially in these days of Health and Safety / manual handling issues. I'm sure it must be fitted with slide out stowage or such like.

If you go to the Rosenbauer web site you can see pictures of the slide-out and fold-down storage in the side and rear lockers, as well as the powered roof rack for the ladders and suctions. This is all designed to make it very easy to access everything, with a minimum of effort, and the locker space is about 25% greater than more traditional UK appliances. Nice to see some UK brigades getting truly modern equipment, even if - like so much else - it has to be imported!
