Heusden-Zolder MAN pumper

The MAN 10-163 you see here is a pumper based at Heusden-Zolder (Belgium), plate LFU-948. The high capacity pump can transport 10.000 litres of water per minute. This with a pressure of 10 bar. The bodywork is from Rosenbauer.

A very powerful pump - around three ot fives times the average European pumper. Presumably designed for long distance water relays.

It must have a separate power unit, as there is no way a ten tonne truck engine could deliver enough horsepower for such a high capacity pump.

Quite unique!
