Is F888AKC still a reserve or sold? Hope Rhyls ALP performs better on home ground. When it attended Wrexham Walmsleys fire it spewed its hydraulic oil everywhere, and it turned up at Wrexham Hippodrome on MP8 ALP2 and didnt raise a boom in anger, but still needed the fitters. Is it a bit of a dog like Chesters Volvo ALP?

Hi Gary. Ever since the Volvo ALP went away in 2006 to Angloco to be refurbished, there seems to have been no end of problems with it from what I have heard. F888AKC is still a reserve and has not yet been disposed of, it certainly wont be sold on, it will be scrapped as this is the trend in North Wales unfortunately now. Are you based in North Wales?

Yes its a shame North Wales got a scrapping(oops recycling!) policy, not many Clwyd/Gwynedd pumps have survived either.I live near Wrexham so its nice to see old Clwyd Volvos on reserve, but they had K31TCC Merc/Saxon as spare last time, with"Gwynedd" stripework on front but original stripes elsewhere.K31 disappeared off lists for a while too.Have the Fulton&Wylie volvos started to go?
