I worked on this vehicle when i was a mobile mechanic with west york fire service was a good vehicle I am D R EXLEY and was working with the late D GRACE He tought me a lot about fire engines have not seen at recent local shows

I think you will find it is in fact a Muadsley Merlin with Merryweather marquis body.

The Merryweather Marquis was the pump at Dewsbury CB FS AHD 971 Still had Eaton 2 speed axle. Had problems breaking many half shafts.

I believe from reading the Merryweather house magazine “TheFireman” that this series was first introduced in 1957, which would mean this was one of the earliest deliveries.
