What I'd give to aquire one of these! Do you know where those that have been recently retired have gone? Are the three still on the run at their stations or have they too been replaced? Thanks.

David, I'm not sure where the recent retirees have gone. County Kerry in Ireland have a long-standing arrangement of buying Staffordshire's old appliances, so I wouldn't be surprised if some have made their way over the water.

Burton's RS (K771 DFA) and Newcastles's (K769 DFA) have recently been pushed-out by one of those Mercedes 416 CDi/Angloco TRV Light Fire Appliance jobbies. Burton have DX58 FVV, and Newcastle have DX58 FVU. So Kidsgrove's RS is now the only remaining example of these classics still on active service in the county.
