The sketch(10mins)features a Leyland FK6'cub'pump escape, new in July 1937 to
Wokingham Fire Brigade in Berkshire, UK.The registration of the appliance was
AMO 654.It went into preservation but where is it now?, and does anyone have a
picture of the appliance at a show or rally to share with us please.Thankyou.

Can anyone help me to trace a Leyland Cub 1932 pump escape Reg.no. UD5138? Exactly 50 years ago, I took a group of 11 fellow-students for a tour of Morocco on this machine. It was marvellous! Just out of service with Woodstock Fire Station, it ran magnificently. We sold it to Enfield Historic Commercial Vehicles Society, who sold it on in the early Seventies to someone believed to be based in Leighton Buzzard, Bucks. There the trail ends - so far! Next month, almost all the original party, + spouses acquired since, are travelling to Morocco for a reunion.

This vehicle FW 9545 was new in 1937 to Spilsby RDC fire brigade....whilst technically in Lincolnshire the county of Lincolnshire did not exist as a whole until the boundary changes of 1974 prior to that Lincolnshire was in fact divided into three separate counties Lindsey in the north, Kesteven in the middle and Holland in the south.. there were also two other fire brigades within the county - Grimsby County Borough Fire brigade and Lincoln City Fire brigade . UD 5138 that the good reverend mentions was an FK1 new to Chipping Norton Fire brigade 1

The engine is called Betsy and she is kept at Louth fire station. We use her to raise funds for the Firefighters Charity and attending 30 events and fire station open days during the course of a year is not uncommon. Children can have their photo taken on her for a donation and this goes toward her continual preservation rather than restoration as she cannot be taken off the road in case there is a firefighters funeral, in which she bears the coffin with a guard of honour aboard. Next year, 2017, will be her eightieth birthday and we are trying to trace anyone who drove or rode on Betsy during her service years. We know she served at Spilsby, Gainsborough, Scunthorpe and Louth and she was taken to an undisclosed location for use in London during The Blitz. It's a grand picture. I'm looking for 1932 Leyland Cub pump escape, Reg UD 5138. See above message by Rev Randell Moll. That's me and that was nearly 10 years ago. I'm still looking for it or any clues. Does anyone know where/who I might ask please??
