LFB Mercedes-Atego 1325 Papworth Fire Rescue Unit

This is Wimbledon's appliance, an '07 registered rescue unit, one of 16 in frontline service with the London Fire Brigade. It has fleet number FRU21. It is seen here on the forecourt of the fire station at an open day in the summer of 2008.

In my opinion, this new London colour scheme on their rescue's looks terrible. Also, I wonder why there not showing any wording or crest on
appliances now, not even station (name or number of stn) recognision?.

Yes you are right. its a shame there is no station name plate like on other appliances. I think they might be introducing a new paint scheme on some of the newer DPLs with a newer style crest. I think the Paddington DPL has it; heres a link to lfbsite : www.lfbsite.com/stations/g48.html. I think they should add it to the rescue units as well.
