Interesting appliance. What is it for?

was a foam salvage tender but as said before Sadly de-commissioned due to corrosion attack - no replacement

This appliance started off as a SSU ( Specialist Support unit ) and had a crane at the rear before being modified with the rear open bodywork and taillift and uised as a FST based at Boness. It has been replaced with a flatbed twin axle triler that is towed to incidents by the fogging unit manned by Boness retained.

So it's like a SEU or Rescue Tender then?

Added by David Jones on 27 November 2010.
Yes, CRFB (as it was then) called it a SSU but it was basically an ET. When new as the SSU it was based at Stirling.
