The LF16TS carried an 800 LPM portable pump in the center rear locker, so the main engine-powered pump was located in front of the cab.
Although on the same F1017 chassis as the LF16 and TLF16, the TS did not have a built-in water tank. They were mainly bought by small-town volunteer fire services, who had a need for portable pumps to access open water in areas without hydrants.
