Brandweer Stabroek Magirus ladder
Strabroek is a small town in Belgium. This town had no official fire brigade. Whenever there was a fire or other incident the fire department of Antwerpen came to the rescue. The local goverment found this not such a good plan, so they managed a private fire brigade, manned with volunteers. To keep the cost low, they buy second hand vehicles.
This 1972 Magirus Deutz 170D12F turntable ladder is a nice example. This 30 metre ladder originated from Austria, and was bought in 2003. It is still looking sharp !!
