The NZ FS still use the ladder which is mounted on their new lime yellow colored Dennis Sabre.Possibly the International fire appliances are put as reserve.

incorrect.....Christchurch dont have a dennis sabre and doubt they ever did other then the rear mounted pump dennis dagger they had for a while. They now have a 2004 scania heavy-pump, a 2005 scania arial teleboom, a 1996 scania pump/rescue tender, a 2006 mercedes-econic arial plateform plus a range of other support vehicles including hazmat, command unit, salvage, hoselayer etc

At present there are only 4 dennis sabres in the country. 1 is a heavy rescue tender located at papatoetoe...the other 2 were part of a 3 truck trial/prototype run. All were 2001 produced, including a scania with waterous pump, A lime green dennis sabre with hale pump and a nzfs red dennis sabre with a darley pump fitted.

The trial trucks were rotated through the country with the scania ending up at thordon, the green dennis at pukete and the red dennis at glen eden.

The 4th dennis sabre is sitting on the dry dock at the Auckland port, imported second hand from the UK and is awaiting its future....hope this helped
