One of the best pictures yet that we've seen of an ACTFB Scania pump from Canberra, Australia.Pity it was taken on red nose day, without the nose this would have been a perfect set up picture.

A good photo, of a neatly organized rig.
Looking at the "T" connection on the Pump Panel step - are the water supply hydrants underground in Australian municipalities ?
Love the "Red Nose", shows that the Service is supporting benevolent community activities.
Could be worse engine decorations.... in Calgary, Alberta; a good-sized city in Canada's West and very prosperous from The Oil Boom. All the fire-tucks have "Help Wanted" signs, with a telephone number, on them - recruitment efforts.
The Oil Field industry is paying so well, that there is a shortage of employees in most jobs there, including the services. Long line-ups at restaurants and coffee-shops due staff-shortages. Even the Calgary POlice Service is importing "Bobbies" from Great Britain.

Yeah pat the majority of hydrants in Australia, especially in residential areas, are underground. However in the snow fields and in industrial areas there are the free standing hydrants.
