Not Avon, they have never operated Dennis. Possibly ex Devon looking at the livery including the white roof

Is this a Dagger, a Sabre or a Rapier? I never got around to understanding Dennis' sharp edged nomenclature. They all seemed to look very similar and have the same engine, transmission, cab and pump options.

Formerly Cullompton, Devon.

Ex- Devon & Somerset. Served at Exmouth. Then Fire Safety Soultions (NI).

No, Avon have never run a Sabre. Looks like ex-Kent.

I don't know why I said Kent. It was simply a slip of the finger. This is of course a Sabre that hails from glorious Devon.

This Sabre is ex Devon Fire & Rescue Service, delivered in 1998, not sure of its full history, but was allocated to Cullompton in 2005.

This is a Sabre, ex Devon and based at Cullompton.

Simple ways to tell the Sabre from the Rapier, Sabre has two steps up to the cab, Rapier only has one due to it's lower space frame chassis design. The Dagger was the smaller of the three appliances and was never built in the numbers that the Rapier and especially Sabre were.
