I like the preconnected hose on the shelf above the pump.

This is by no means universal in the UK, but it is the norm in the US, and they are used at a lot of fires. If you need something beefier than a hosereel and you can get the pump close to the fire, this is the quick way to get water flowing!

Fife Fire Brigade also was the first in Scotland to use Fire and Rescue Service in the 70's, but all over red with hinged lockers compared to this machine which Tayside had and my father used to drive.
