New Zealand Isuzu OB 8603

See image 36996. Originally built on a used cab and chassis into a tanker by Pleasant Point Engineering for the South Canterbury Rural Fire District, this was based at Glenavy. Following replacement by a new tanker, the tank was removed and a box body installed. This is now based at Geraldine still with the South Canterbury Rural Fire District and utilised to carry bulk fire retardant material. It replaced another ex tanker vehicle in the same role. It was photographed during an exercise in October 2015.
