Around the time that this photo was taken the Fire Service College did offer ARFF training to airports. I seem to recall that it was a fairly short lived section of the "college of knowledge" however.

Yes, this was new to Moreton then to Filton until that airfield closed, then, I believe, to Chester/Hawarden.

Further to my comment, there were two 4x4 and one 6x6 at Moreton, both 4x4 went to Filton and then Hawarden, the 6x6 went to Manchester but I don't know where it went from there.
