Simon Snorkel Dudley 049 FD
A Bedford TK/Simon Snorkel on trade plate 049 FD and a Bedford Green Goddess (NYV 193) behind, probably being trialed by the manufacturer. The Green Goddess was allocated to the County Borough of Dudley and Simon's Works were also at Dudley. The location is believed to be by the Dudley Canal and adjacent to what is now the Black Country Museum. The bridge behind carries the A4123 Birmingham New Road. The Simon Snorkel has red flashing lights, not blue ones, suggesting is is a demonstrator or for export. Photo taken around May 1965.
