This interesting rural fire appliance was built by the Selwyn District Council engineering department - SICON - for the West Melton rural fire force. Based on a new 2011 Isuzu FTR900 Like their previous appliance (picture #30707) it utilises a modified rear locker section and tank from a retired New Zealand Fire Service appliance - in this case from Dennis DF135 registration MH 8872 (see picture #30275). It was photographed at Lincoln in October 2013.
