IFA crane tender in Kecskemet

This flatbed travels with the rescue crane and serves as the crane tender in Kecskemet and is built on a IFA W50-L chassis. Something that was built in what was formerly East Germany?

Yes. The IFA was the standard fire appliance chassis in East Germany. They were also used by the military and were the most commonplace commercial truck as well. Large numbers were exported within Comecon, which was the Communist East European Common Market. When I first visited Hungary in 1991, they were everywhere!
