Rare PS action shot, J-P!

One 110 mm inlet line from a hydrant, with one 65 mm line and one red 45 mm line in use. You can see one of the detachable one-man hose carts on the sidewalk - and the other is most likely somewhere near the branch being used on the fire!

The ambulance compartment on the right side of the vehicle can be clearly seen in this photo. On the left side is a large locker for firefighting equipment, hose fittings, etc.

These have a five person crew, a pump which can deliver 1, 000 LPM at 15 AT, a 600 liter tank, and carry BA and both an extension ladder and a hook ladder.

The newer fifth generation PS look exactly the same, but have a CAFS installation which is designed to handle both class A and class B fires, depending on the proportioning of the foaming solution.

The approximately 115 PS in front line service are backed up by around 60 dedicated 2000 LPM pumpers with larger crews, more hose and a more extensive collection of ladders, as well as numerous aerials and a large fleet of specials. There are also around 140 dedicated ALS and BLS ambulances in Paris operated by the BSPP, as well as SAMU urgent care medical service ambulances.
