Hino Command Vehicle (CV). A new vehicle for the SCDF special appliances fleet. The wire mesh is an extra for this appliance and installed to the CV in case riot breaks.

I wonder how many riots there are in this part of the world. In Europe I've never seen any fire engine with this kind of protection. When there are riots we have the police to fix the problems and they are protecting the fire brigade.

I can't remember any riots after Singapore's independency. There are 6 of these Division Forward Command Vehicle, all from 2004.
Gregory do you know who built them?

Added by Fire995 on 05 July 2007.
These CV are assembled in Singapore by a local company. But i forgot the name who made them..These wire mesh were up during the IMF/World Bank event in Singapore in 2006. All standby SCDF vehicles were up with wire mesh during the event.

It is same like Hong Kong appliance when all standby appliances were installed with wire mesh during a conference last year. Anywhere, SCDF paramedics also own the Hino Station With Immediate First Aid Treatment (SWIFT). Any photos on it?

Yes, i do have pics of the Paramedic Hino station...I will post a pic of it soon. There are two versions of it but not much difference expect the beacon n side red/white lights

Looking at the riot mesh possibly it was built by Fabristeel, Singapore. As Brunei FRD receive two units of Mitsubishi Fuso FP/Fabristeel WRLs fitted with the similar style riot grilles.
