This is a 2007 FPTGP (heavy pumper) from central France.

It carries a 2000L/min pump, 3000L of water, 200L of foam, a total of 900m of hose, and fire equipment: SCBAs, fan,... it is also equiped with a light tower.

Standard French structure fire pumper these days, in service with BSPP, BMPM and all departmental SDIS.

Most are on Renault chassis, but Ivecos like this are not uncommon - although Paris has dropped them - and some SDIS operate either Mercedes or Scania too.

The standard French pump is rated at 2000 LPM but at 15AT rather than 10. This means they are generally more powerful than other European 2000 LPM pumps. In France, hydrants can be as much as 200 meters apart, hence the need for higher working pressures on occasion. This is also a principal reason for the two hose carts hung on the back, as each contains ten 20 meter lengths of pre-connected 65 mm hose.
