I guess Courtaulds may of had fire cover at more than one location, as they were a big company. I have the Ex East Sussex Karrier Gamecock SAP201 that was with Courtaulds for a while. I have a vehicle log, that details mileage and purpose of every journey during that time (27-7-89 to 21-7-93)There are a couple of references to train in Stretford area and Urmston area, so guess it was for a Courtaulds factory on the Manchester area, so along with Archies request I too would be interested if there are any Courtaulds experts out there (and pics) Many thanks.

This looks as if it started life as a HCPU, as the body has been added to the chassis and not adapted from the original.

I worked at cautaulds in Grimsby during my holidays and they ran a section of vehicles. They had three Ford/HCB Angus, ex GMC, appliances. Two ran as WrT and one a foam tender. I think the appliances registrations were OVU 843/844/854R, but I cannot be certain. After I finished, they received and ex Cumbria Dodge which I believe was registered BAO 294T. The last appliance I know they had was an ex Surry Dennis WrL, H712 ???. I do have a photo of this running at the time. Rick Loudon has mentioned that an ex Humberside WrL operated at Grimsby as well. Hope this helps

This would have been supplied to the coach builders as a chassis cab and then everything from behind the cab would be built by them and not Land Rover

I have the Coventry Climax Godiva trailer pump that was used at Courtaulds. I would love to share information.
