Manchester Airport Boughton Marlin

One of the oldest crash tenders at Manchester Airport....this Boughton Marlin crash tender. Note the unusual stowage of the short extension ladders...across the width of the bodywork

They only produced 3 or 4 of the Marlin Fire and Rescue vehicles, they had about a 1300 hp v12 Detroit engine, although I think the Hong Kong airport one had a v16 engine fitted, they were built in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
The Boughton Barracuda was the main fire truck built at the Winkleigh Devon factory, sadley no longer building fire trucks but still building waste handling vehicles.

Nice BLUE light-bar on the roof, if I'm not mistaken.
