Hey Mark, just curious how many men do most standard pumps in Germany respond to a fire with? And what is the minimum crewing for most brigades? With thanks from Tiger.

Hi
Well what I know is that a pump this size can have up to nine crew in it and others 6 to 2 crew, it's just down to what ever engine is needed.

Most of celle fire stations are part time manned and are called by pager so I think it's like the UK, they get the call and report to there station and see what the call is then respond with what ever vehicles are needed, but most station around celle area I have seen are up to 3 bays with a crew van/command vehicle in and 2 pumps in the outer station so this might be the standard thing so that a good 20+ at most in personal, apart from celle town main station that has a lot more pumps and other special vehicles in.

Also I did know if it still goes on if any town or village dose not have enough man power in some parts of Germany you can get call up to service with the local part time fire service in that area.

Anyway I hope this helps, but if I can I will get some more info if needed.
