South Wales MAN Water carrier CN11 AAEThis 2011 MAN TGS 26.400 Crossland 14 000 Lt Water Bowser, which is operational from Cwmbran, is the second "urban" bowser to be placed in service in South Wales. SWFRS also operate four 8000 Lt "rural" bowsers.

This is a major safety factor when it comes to high capacity tankers, as these beasts are world famous for their proclivity to roll if cornered too quickly - and urban environments have a lot of corners!
The drawback to the long wheelbase is of course a lack of maneuverability, and I am a bit surprised this was not built on a 6X2 chassis with a rear steering axle. Such configurations make them much easier to drive, once the drivers have got used to how tight they can turn!
