How does the "gate cutter" work?

John - sorry, I only just now saw your question. the device is designed to ram through fences, basically ploughing them over. The barbed wire that is usually at the top would get caught in between the blades that would slice through it from the pressure of the vehicle going forward. In this picture the replaceable blades are not yet installed.
